Read this New York Times article to learn more about the man behind EyeGlassesDepot

Beware: This company is a menace. Read the 5-star reviews and you will see they are faked, read the 1-star reviews and you will see they are authentic. Notice that nearly all of the one-star critical reviews have been "verified" by TrustPilot. They are verified because EyeGlassesDepot tried to have them removed and the reviewers fought back, providing information about their orders to prove we are customers, despite the fact that EyeGlassesDepot knew all along that we are customers. Just one more indication of the pathological nature of the man leading this "company" -- he abuses TrustPilot's merchant rights to wage war against the people he screws over. A cherry on top of the fraudulent and abusive sundae he is dishing up.I suspect that customers of EyeGlassesDepot.com would find interesting a New York Times article entitled, "Has Online Retail’s Biggest Bully Returned?Outraged customers of Eyeglassesdepot sound like the victims of a man who’s already spent years in prison for terrorizing consumers", published on May 2, 2021. Look also for the following NYT articles, "A Pitch for Eyeglasses That Sounds Eerily Familiar"; "Online Seller Who Bullied Customers Pleads Guilty"; "Eyeglass Vendor, Imprisoned for Terrorizing Consumers, Is Accused of Fraud". Very interesting reading, describing the long history of a key person that the NYT suspects is behind EyeGlassesDepot.Update as of 1:24pm. Someone from EyeGlassesDepot has now sent me 25 texts in the last 34 minutes. They range from anger to threats to attempts to bargain to attempts to explain their position. They believe that they will have this post removed because it violates TrustPilot's terms of service. I suspect not -- it is a New York Times article that references EyeGlassesDepot.com.Update, since my last post, EyeGlassesDepot owner has been threatening and harassing me, and also trying to get my post removed for having used private information. The only private information in my post was the name of a person in a NYT article that they believe is the person behind EyeGlassesDepot who was also imprisoned twice for fraud and violent threats. Ironically, the EyeGlassesDepot owner is simultaneously complaining that the NYT mentions the felon's name and that it's not him. Things that make you go hmmm. Nice of him to worry so much about someone else's "private" information that is in the New York Times. Meanwhile, in his response, the EyeGlassesDepot owner posted our private text correspondence (which, by the way, makes him look really bad), including my cell phone number. A classic case of projection ... falsely accusing someone else of doing what you are doing yourself. This guy is a bona fide piece of work.Update: Making progress with the authorities.

Business Details

  • EyeglassesDepot.com started in 2007 as a new department of our retail designer eyeglasses and sunglasses business. Quickly we realized that our customers not only shop for new prescription lenses and new frames, they also ask us the popular question "Can this be fixed?". Tired of telling customers NO, we decided to explore the idea of repair rather then replacement. In late 2007 we remodeled the second floor of our office and hired the staff that today runs our laboratory. Our two lab technicians have combined over 17 years of expert experience in the field of optometry, eyewear repair and eyewear sales.See more
