Ordered frames from Eyeglassesdepot to replace my broken ones. Upon receiving bank notification of charges I noticed a duplicate charge from "eyewear order.com" with no phone# to contact. Brought my concern about the double billing and the unrecognizable vendor to my bank to investigate. Received an angry email from someone at Eyeglassesdepot Customer "service" claiming I should had called the merchant first and that my "claim" had cost him/her $70 in fees. The email was impolite and whiny and send with with CAPITALIZED letters. I politely replied explaining the reason for my investigation request and—without requesting any further evidence or documentation—proceeded to "reimburse" $35 of their so called charges. (To this moment the company has still not send me any copy of any document requesting them to pay the alleged fees,or any evidence that such fees have actually been paid for by them). I followed up with an email making a suggestion of how to avoid this from happening with other clients. Again, they rudely responded: "You bought GLASSES. That is eyewear". Since, after shipping the frames, they invited me to send a review to trustpilot, I obliged by giving them a very poor rating on customer services, given the rude, condescending, unprofessional tone, attitude and style in which they interacted with me. I also plan to submit a complain to my regional BBB and to my state Department of Customer affairs regarding this matter. After reading other negative reviews about this Company's Customer Services, I would have to agree that this is not a company I can recommend to anyone else.

EyeglassesDepot.com started in 2007 as a new department of our retail designer eyeglasses and sunglasses business. Quickly we realized that our customers not only shop for new prescription lenses and new frames, they also ask us the popular question "Can this be fixed?". Tired of telling customers NO, we decided to explore the idea of repair rather then replacement. In late 2007 we remodeled the second floor of our office and hired the staff that today runs our laboratory. Our two lab technicians have combined over 17 years of expert experience in the field of optometry, eyewear repair and eyewear sales.See more
