I wanted a car transported from Florida to Massachusetts and received many initial quotes from different companies. I had never shipped a car before so had no prior experience. Fairway logistics quoted me a price of $525 one way which was a good price, definitely lower than the majority of the other companies. I signed a contract with them through Jason Neil and he told me that the week before the agreed upon pick up date he would contact me and give me the information on the driver and pick up time of the vehicle. 5 business days before I received a text from Jason stating he was still working on it. I emailed him 3 days ahead and he said that they had identified drivers but that the prices were slightly higher than what was agreed upon. The day before the agreed upon pick up date he called to tell me that he had identified a driver but the price would be $1100. This was more than double the contracted price. I was shocked and felt very betrayed. Classic bait and switch.I did not end up using Fairway Logistics, I was able to find a different company at the last minute which also goes to show you that Fairway Logistics knew all along they had given me an unrealistic price and they were counting on me accepting it by not revealing it until the day before pick up.The only positive thing I have to say about fairway logistics is that my deposit was refunded to me in a timely manner without alot of hassle. Perhaps they felt some shame??
