We spent an inordinate amount of time researching the best secateurs, then ordered them from Farrar & Tanner. They accepted our payment, as well as an extra amount for swift postage, then sent an email saying they were out of stock! We asked for our money back and eventually received it, but no goodwill gesture (we had suggested £10 would be an appropriate minimum amount) to help compensate for the time we had wasted and inconvenience caused. Had they sent us a gift card it would have acted as an incentive to purchase from their Company again.
