Review of Fast Cover Travel InsuranceI would strongly caution anyone considering Fast Cover Travel Insurance to read the fine print very carefully before purchasing a policy. My mother, aged 86 and in excellent health at the time I booked our holiday, became seriously ill and was later diagnosed with a terminal condition shortly before our planned departure. As her sole caregiver, my husband and I had no choice but to cancel our trip.Regrettably, Fast Cover declined to cover any of our cancellation expenses, resulting in a personal loss of $25,000. The response we received lacked empathy or understanding and instead reflected a rigid application of policy terms without consideration for our circumstances.Since then, I have learned that friends insured with 1Cover Travel Insurance faced similar situations but experienced no difficulty in having their claims approved.It is deeply disappointing that a company in the business of providing support during unforeseen and distressing times could demonstrate so little compassion. I sincerely hope Fast Cover reflects on how it handles claims from families dealing with terminal illness in the future.
