Originally, I was not going to write a review because I was just glad to be done with the CTEC 60 hour course. However, I continued to have issues even after passing the course. The first issue I had was that there was always some grammatical error on their pop up questions in their training video that prevented me or anyone else from understanding the question being asked. The second issue I had was when there was a glitch that prevented me from getting through a video. You are required to answer questions in order to get through the video learning. However, one course would not let you answer a question. So I was just stuck. I reached out to support and they were able to fix the next day, but it still delayed me in taking the exam. The third issue I had was that they do provide searchable documents. The CTEC is an open book exam. You are only given PPT slides. I ended up having to Google because their documents were not useful. The main issue I had with Federal Direct is that they don't submit your scores when they say they will. Other providers provide next day or instant submission. Federal Direct held on to my results for over a week. When I called I was told it would be submitted the 24th. When I emailed they said they had 10 days. I asked for a refund and they took their time responding to the email. They told me they were waiting on the last 6 digits of my SSN. But I never received any communication asking to provide that information and their website only requests PTIN not SSN. I ended up missing my deadline for getting my CTEC certification. I would not use again.
