I recently had a FENSA contractor install a composite door at my house. The work was sub standard and they left a 10mm gap under the door.I naturally wanted to contact FENSA to tell them about their contractor, however after nearly 3 weeks of trying to get into contact and actually getting anything moving, I gave up!!!There is no direct email address for FENSA, just a contact form on their website that is clearly not monitored. I sent six messages via this contact form. Not one reply In three weeks. The main phone number always diverts to a answer phone which won't take any messages because it is full.Their website is a joke, with spammy third party pop up adverts on it and no clear or relevant contact information. No complaints procedure outlined either.Rather than looking professional it looks and feels like something a 13 year old website design student has knocked up on their lunch break.I had to message them via Facebook messenger, after two days I got a response. I explained my situation, they said I had to register my door with them for them to do anything.Daft thing is that the door cannot be registered as by their own flawed rules it contains less than 50% glass! In a nut shell I need to register my door with them in order for them to start helping me, but their own rules prevent this. Totally ludicrous!I pointed this out to them, and they have resorted to ignoring me as it is clearly too much to deal with.(Also makes me wonder how an OAP who is not on Social Media would get hold of them?)This company is completely useless and not fit for purpose. Do not use this company or any of the contractors it endorses otherwise you'll end up in a big heap of mess. A FENSA badge doesn't mean jack! It's clearly there to give the uneducated public a false sense of security that the contractors they are using are governed by an Organisation with stringent standards. That is not the case at all. Any BoZo half wit dodgy glazing firm with £150 can pay FENSA to be be registered to trick the general public into thinking they are legit.Instead look for double glazing with CERTASS membership, they do exactly the same thing but are 100% better.I will be reporting FENSA to trading standards as they are unfit for purpose and the Government needs to intervene and stop this organisation from giving the Public the image that they are somehow a decent governing body for glazing installers when in reality they are amateur organisation who are totally toothless to stop rogue and dodgy contractors putting FENSA badges on their van then ripping off the public with shoddy work. They give the public total false hope.I wanted to give them a no star review, as they are sub-par poor.Avoid them like the plague.
