Overall great experience! From start to finish: called 2 companies (fetch a pet and pet air UK) and received quotes, fetch a pet’s was $500 cheaper than the other company and they responded faster with more information. I filled out the required paperwork for both companies and both companies explained that my larger dog would need a custom made crate built, but the competitor company also said my smaller dog needed a larger crate, which wasn’t true because the measurements were a lot more than large enough. Fetch a pet used the smaller dog crate and there were no issues which gave me a lot of confidence they had experience and really knew the rules! So then I signed a contract with fetch a pet and waited to hear from them. I was very concerned flying during the pandemic and the first flight I requested to have the dogs booked on was cancelled, but Rachel and Emma continued to communicate with me and got the dogs booked on the only flight leaving the next week. Their experience clearly showed and I felt confident that they would put the dogs first and ensure they got from point A to point B safely and efficiently. The day of travel, we drove to Heathrow to meet Rachel and hand over the dogs, she was very calm and we could tell she worked well with animals. When the dogs had left, she sent a couple messages and photos showing how the dogs had made it through the x-ray. This was much appreciated! It costs a lot of money to send animals from the UK, much more than shipping them out of the USA but using fetch a pet made it significantly easier than doing it all myself (as had done previously) so I would say it was worth it. I would 100% use this company again!
