I really appreciate everything that Honest Care has done to help me prepare my appeal to my insurance for medication. Yes, I could have done the appeal letter myself, but I’m glad I didn't because the professional letter and the supporting document that were compiled on my behalf from my pertinent medical records was what pushed this to be approved fast. Doctors doing these appeals for the insurance companies do not have the time to dig through a large medical record to find the supporting information, so having the timeline of supporting information was super important I feel. Otherwise, I would have been in limbo for them trying to contact my provider for supporting documentation. I sent my appeal letter a week ago and it went from step 1 of 4 in less than a day due to how thorough my information was and the professional appeal letter. I set up my appeal through Honest Care before I even got my denial because I have seen how everyone else says it just gets automatically denied right off the bat 9x out of 10. So, I had to go back and submit what their reason for denial and they reworked my letter to support the step therapy. The support was awesome, and I appreciated the whole team and especially Daniel. Thank you! If you don't want to mess around with the back and forth with your provider, it is important to appeal yourself because the providers do not always have the time to do much past the original prior authorization. For those that are lucky enough to have providers that submit all the supporting information then congrats. For the rest of us or those in rural areas, this service is amazing.
