Poor Delivery and No Refund

I ordered a candle holder and some candles for Christmas. The delivery went wrong; I received no notification from the courier. I live in an apartment complex where parcels can easily be misplaced. I have searched everywhere but can't find my package. The company insists I deal with the courier for a refund, which is against consumer rights since I contracted with them. I am still waiting for my refund.
