I am writing this review out of sheer frustration with a Fisher & Paykel steam oven I purchased. From the very first few uses, this expensive appliance has leaked water out of the front and onto my kitchen floor. An engineer has visited my home twice to attempt a repair. Both times, the engineer confirmed that this water leakage was indeed a fault and should absolutely not be happening. Despite this clear confirmation from their own technical staff, when I requested a refund, a "product expert" from Fisher & Paykel insisted it was not a fault. This contradictory stance is utterly baffling and deeply unhelpful. The only "solution" the engineer could offer for the recurring water spillage was to remove the oven door and manually dry the water from inside – a process which, when he performed it, resulted in more water on my wooden floor! This is not a practical or acceptable solution for a brand new, high-end appliance. To compound the problems, the hinges on the oven door frequently get stuck. This means I now have a very expensive oven that not only leaks constantly but also spends half its time with its door missing because the hinges have seized up.In summary, I am left with a premium-priced oven that is fundamentally faulty, doesn't work as advertised, and requires constant, impractical maintenance. The customer service experience has been equally frustrating, with a lack of accountability and contradictory information. I would strongly advise against purchasing a Fisher & Paykel steam oven based on my experience.
