I contacted FisherPaykel to fix a leak in the filter valve of my FP fridge. The earliest was about 12 days hence. The technician, Adam Smith, tech 126, contacted me 10 days before the appointment to offer me an earlier one the following day. As promised, he contacted me about half an hour before arriving. I like the tracking facility that showed me his progress towards the house. He fixed the problem swiftly and answered my questions clearly. He even offered to sweep the floor behind the fridge before pushing it back into place. Because my fridge is still under warranty, this cost me nothing. Next year, when my warranty has run out, such a visit and repair would cost me £200 to £300 so I may have to resort to DIY methods should anything go wrong again, but for appliances that are still under warranty, this is an excellent service.
