FitMyCarProduct VF Dash Mat this is the 3rd dash mat i have bought for VF Holdens (as i now own 3 ) this is the only dashmat that had or has a cut in it and not banded FitMy Cars Response The slit/flap in the dash mat you received is there by design. To have full coverage of the dash including the frontal section over the airbag, the flap is included to ensure the dash mat folds up and out of the way if the airbag deploys. It creates a weak point at which the fold will occur. This ensures that if ever the Passenger-side airbag deploys, the dash mat would not interfere with this safety feature. Most other dashmats on the market would stop above the airbag and avoid needing this feature but we have included it for additional sun protection.
