Imperfect Dash Mat

On the 5th of June 2022, I ordered a Dash Mat for my vehicle from this company, as they appeared to have a 'good' reputation. It arrived after the 'standard' post/freight time. Upon opening the package, the Dash Mat looked - at first glance, like most other mats. I removed the 'factory' attached cardboard retail/advertising section, and when walking out to my vehicle in the daylight, I observed that in the 'depressed molded section' of the mat, and predominately on the right-hand side of this, there were numerous 'lumps' in this section of the molding. At first, I thought that these were bits of 'fluff' from the manufacturing process, as I had already removed several. Not to be, these were 'lumps' in the product, and they looked quite ordinary, defective, and very visible. I immediately took photographs, and sent them, with an explanation email to FitMyCar.To be fair, the mat fitted my vehicle as it should have, and apart from the visible defects, looked good.Now, this is where it all goes South.They replied on the 16th of June stating that they did not receive any photographs. I re-sent these, with a request to send me another Dash Mat - 'imperfection free', and that I would return the defective unit. The reply email from them underlines what an unprofessional company these people are. Their response in the first instance was, and I QUOTE - (copied and pasted from their email to me) -'Thank you for writing us back and we are sorry to hear that you were not fully satisfied with the quality/fitment of the dash mat. Kindly note that we advertise fitment guarantee and not imperfection free items.'So... it will fit, but it could be a piece of crap!?!Fantastic statement to base your business products on!!!They then offered me a refund. I then repeated my request for them to send me a replacement unit 'free from any imperfections.'Again, another outstanding reply - (as copied and pasted from the latest email).'Unfortunately, as per our specialist the replacement will serve no purpose. Our team have reviewed and found out that a replacement would not solve the issue, hence we will just arrange a refund.'My opinion, 'Unprofessional Cowboys'. Quantity over quality. I am absolutely Gobsmacked!!!!I have advised them that I will NOT be returning the defective Dash Mat, and will be giving them as many 'bad reviews' as possible. A refund to me makes them 'feel better'. I just wanted an imperfection free product. Obviously, something that they cannot - or are unwilling to produce!BE AWARE!!!!!!ThumbnailThumbnailThumbnail
