After booking, I received a confirmation email stating that eTickets would be issued within 48 hours. However, the next day, I received a call from a representative who claimed that my flights did not include any checked baggage despite the fact that I had booked with Qatar Airways, where direct flights do include baggage, and the booking clearly indicated baggage was included.The representative, who introduced himself as "Martin" and spoke with an Indian accent, said I would need to pay an additional £1,000 to include luggage. He was also very rude and had 0 customer service skills. This felt highly suspicious. I said I would call back, and when I dialed the number listed in the confirmation email, the same person answered and repeated the same information. I did however asked consent and recorded this phone call and have it as proof. What made matters worse was that their website advertised free cancellation, yet the advisor insisted this was not true. I then attempted to revisit flightoworld.uk, but the site no longer loaded any flight options for any dates. When searching for the company on Safari, it didn’t appear. When I used Microsoft Edge, the autocomplete suggestion was “flightoworld scam,” which led me to multiple similar complaints here on Trustpilot. They must have done something with my IP address to not allow searches or locating them via Safari. Further research revealed that the company is newly registered with Companies House, and the listed director is based in India. This aligns with the interaction I had with the advisor. It raises serious concerns about the legitimacy and transparency of this business.I have since contacted my bank to dispute the transaction and am awaiting their response. Since contacting my bank ‘Flightoworld’ have emailed and called me numerous times, Im guessing to get more money off me. I have ignored these calls and emails as advised from my bank.Final Thoughts:Avoid Flightoworld under all circumstances. Moreover, major search engines like Jetcost need to take more responsibility for vetting third-party travel agencies before featuring them on their platforms.
