I used this app consistently for over 10 years and initially found it helpful for tracking my cycle. However, over time, I began to feel that the app relied too heavily on labelling cycles as “abnormal,” which can be upsetting and anxiety-inducing. I strongly believe that you know your own body best, and being repeatedly told that something is wrong can create unnecessary worry rather than reassurance.I also found the app increasingly focused on pushing the premium subscription. The constant prompts and notifications to upgrade became overwhelming and distracting, taking away from the original purpose of the app.Eventually, I stopped using the app altogether because I felt it was negatively affecting both my mental and physical wellbeing. Rather than feeling supported or empowered, I often felt made to feel abnormal, which in turn increased stress around my cycle. For an app designed to support women’s health, I found this approach unhelpful and, at times, damaging.
