Hello, I am writing to you regarding a particularly disrupted return flight from vacation.My wife and I were scheduled to take Air Cairo flight SM2914 from Hurghada to Basel, departing on October 26, 2025, at 12:30 PM (local time). Upon arrival at Hurghada Airport, we were immediately transferred to a hotel while awaiting information from Air Cairo staff. However, we received no information from the airline and had to find it ourselves online. Buses finally picked us up from the Sky Star Hotel at 11:00 PM to take us back to Hurghada Airport. Our flight finally departed at 5:00 AM on Monday, October 27, 2025, resulting in a 16-hour delay.Furthermore, I had reserved specific seats for the return flight (originally 4A and 4B), but we were unable to secure them (see attached image "Seat.jpg").This significant delay forced us to extend our vacation by an unforeseen day.
