At the third airport check of Sharm El Sheik Airport, my girlfriend’s headphones went missing. Unfortunately, she only noticed once we were on the plane. When we arrived in Bari, we called the airport, and someone told us the headphones were at customs, but we had to contact the airline to get them back.We contacted Air Cairo, and airport staff said we had to go in person to customs because there was a fee to pay.We sent several emails asking how much the fee was and if the headphones could be shipped by the airline. No answer.I also called many times over several days — no one ever picked up.After days, we finally got the reply you see in the screenshot: $5 per day for storage. No solution offered.I’m Italian and not born yesterday — this is clearly a scam. Well done. And from Air Cairo, no further help at all. We were just left on our own.
