I was skeptical about it at first when it popped up in my news feed, but I read some reviews, did a little research and decided to take the plunge on 4 months United Premier 1K for a reasonable fee at the time. They lived up to their end of the bargain and I saw that I had the status before I even had to pay the fee! I was able to use the status during a have travel period of the year. During that time, I received automatic upgrades to first class when they were available and I was also able to upgrade my family to economy plus. I'm considering doing it again if the price is right when I have another heavy travel period next year.I would also recommend this to my close friends and colleagues who travel frequently.
