It is genuinely difficult to put into words how poor my experience with FMG has been. We had a minor accident in August 2023 and FMG Mitcham still have our vehicle almost 5 months later due to “unavailable parts.” They have put very little effort into sourcing the part, or coming up with alternative options for to get our car back to us. I had to call around land rover garages across the UK to find dates the factory were releasing the part – FMG still put in the request too late. I also asked them to source it from overseas – they ordered the wrong part. No one from the FMG garage or headquarters ever calls back, I have spent hours and hours on hold chasing up answers, they will never put me through to a manager and expect me to act a mediator between themselves and our insurance holder Tesco, rather than just sorting it out between the two companies. We have now been driving a Vauxhall Corsa courtesy car for almost 5 months, our children’s car seats do not fit in it and we are unable to travel to see family at Christmas as they apparently have “no other hire vehicles available.” There is zero customer care or accountability. We have no date for when we will receive our car back still – it’s a complete mess and I would avoid at all costs.
