Made a bridesmaid appointment. When we turned up, we were told all the nice rooms were busy but one mother of the bride was finishing up so it wouldn't be long. Eventually moved to a different section When it became obvious that group weren't finishing. Was brought a few dresses in the colour we requested. We were then very much left to our own devices. No help or guidance offered. The girl called back and we asked for a particular dress, she went looking for about 30 mins. Size range was very poor and one of the bridesmaids was unable to try on the right size dress in any colour. No suggestions regarding accessories or shoes made. When we decided on dress, girl realised that one of the sizes was not available. When we asked if it could be in the kilkenny shop she said she would ask there. Quite a wait later, kilkenny weren't answering her on the tablet so she said she would try ringing. Another wait. Dress not available. Offered a discount if we ordered the next size up, €20 to go towards alterations. Apparently the store is moving towards a more sustainable approach so no longer have the range of sizes available that they used to. Over all, lots of waiting and a disappointing outcome. Dresses are ordered with no shoes or accessories purchased

Folkster is an independent, family-owned lifestyle store, founded by stylist Blanaid Hennessy in 2008. The idea behind Folkster was to create a bohemian treasure trove of a store combined with the highest standard of customer service and styling.
We started as a small vintage store in Co. Kilkenny, growing responsibly over the years to create our own occasion wear - proudly designed here in Folkster Ireland. We now have two Folkster stores in Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin - and Patrick St. Kilkenny. We also have a Folkster Bridal store in Kilkenny too, and you can find our collections on folkster.com too!
Our team designs the shapes, beadwork and fits in our Folkster gowns, dresses and accessories. We then hand pick our fabrics and shades, working with our trusted family-run production partners in Spain and India.
We really listen to our customers, the design team regularly meets with our stylists and customer care team to get your feedback, which we then use to finalise our designs! See more
