Iphone backup and transfer software - Fonetool:Bought June 2024, used again 14 Nov 2024. Still same problem.This software was bought few months ago - it did not solve my transfer problem then - or backup tasks, acted the same way as Itunes (asking for a password you never put in). Now, using latest version 2.9.2 - November 2024 - it still behaves the same way. Main issue with Itunes is that it claims your existing iPhone backup has a password to put in. Since you never ever put in a password making your first backup on a new iPhone - it is a bugg. Me as any other user will not move forward - it is as bad as Itunes - or worse - since they charge me for it. Itunes is free.It is also advertised whatsApp should be possible to transfer to a new iPhone (on ver. 292). Also not true. I am asked about the password that I never put in - again. In their help page they refer to a slight problem and suggest the user to try different used passwords that can have been used years ago - putting the blame on the customer - "this could sometimes happens".This time - new iPhone, IOS18.1, Fonetool ver. 292. iPhone never exposed to Itunes, or anything but basic setup. This on purpuse, to check the software - and still same problem.WhatsApp may be somewhat difficult to transfer, but all the rest is easy with the startup script fram Apple - if you have a completely new iPhone. Use that script. WhatsApp is sensitive if you dont want to loose the history and want it to connect to another sim card. Solved that carefully - not with Fonetool.I think this might be easier if iPhone is your single base. I use it in business and have a Samsung phone privately. With more experiance - no Fontool...Still - AOMEI, the company behind Fontool, should take a careful look into what they release.I have experiance of their other products - like backupper software from AOMEI - and it works great.
