Received a letter from Forecourteye stating I had not paid for fuel back in July (4th July) which is over four months old so it’s not like you can remember that far back to know if you were even there on that date, when I looked at the pictures which were four very poor quality pictures of my car at the fuel station, could not even make out myself filling the car, no time stamp to tie the image to the picture of the till transaction, the letter was for £24.50 and the £35 admin fee, I spoke to the lady who was no help and it was a case of pay or less, what I can’t understand is I normally fill my car up at the start of the month as I do not cover a lot of miles, that sort of fill up is normally at the end of the month if I’m running low on fuel, I could see that I filled my car up on the 6th July so why would I not fill the car up full on the 4th if I had been there on that day, and thirdly I fill up and pay at the pump , it does not allow you to fill up until payment is authorised so I cannot believe this is correct and must be a mistake by the garage, I paid just to get rid of the issue but as far as I can see the evidence is not evidence. Lesson learnt I will always now take a receipt, but this really is a scam.
