I have been a foxtel client for 5 plus years. After trying to tighten the budget and realising that most of the content is avaliable on all the streaming services I already have it was time to say good bye. I logged into my account, no sign of a close account button, started the chat, no able to do it via that portal, need to call I'm told (odd because they verified my identity and the chat put it in writing so legally I'm sure that would be a legal form of notice) never mind I'll call. For my 5 years of service I was met with some of the most forceful sales methods I have ever faced and I spent 20 years in real estate! I repeated on 4 occasions that I was experiencing financial difficulties and was not interested In any options I just wanted to cancel. In the end I requested to be placed on hold until my request was carried out as I no longer wished to speak to the person on the phone. I hope to God they do no do this to little old ladies or people in real financial stress, creating a more stressful situation!
