I received the sample of Diptyque Fleur de Peau but could not reconcile the scent with the perfume I had smelled and tried on myself in the shop. I took the sample to a local stockist and let them try it, and they agreed that it was nothing like the actual scent, and in fact, smelled as if it gad been greatly watered down. I am so disappointed as I wanted to check whether the perfume would suit me before buying it as it is so expensive. I was happy to spend the £11 I was charged for the sample and postage but now feel it was completely wasted.
