Transparent - to a degree. We had a Discovery Session where they explained their investment strategy on building a new property (through dedicated developers) and how it could work for us based on our information and there's no doubt it looks impressive! At the end of one hour consult, they wanted us to pay a deposit of the membership fee using a credit card and providing a website link to do so on the spot. This request was an instant red flag to me. I just want to make this very clear because I don't believe they are transparent about the fact that the Property Specialists hosting the Discovery Sessions are not qualified. They are salesmen who use persuasive techniques to try and get you to sign there and then.Their T&Cs clearly state "they are not licensed financial advisors or licensed tax or financial specialists and you are to seek your own independent financial advice and/or taxation advice before making any investment decision".(Their membership does give you access to licensed professionals within the Freedom Group of businesses once you have signed up).For us, the strategy of building a new house for our first investment didn't align with our current circumstances and timeline. Personally, they should encourage you to go away, do your own due diligence and speak to whoever you may want to, rather than see you "rush" into a decision you may question or regret in the future.
