Fraudulent company used a 30-Day Free Trial to sign me up for a subscription that rifled $675.50 out of my bank account without my knowledge or authorization. I normally keep a vigilant eye on my monthly credit card statements and am very good with my finances. But sometimes Life gets in the way of typical habits. Like getting diagnosed with Stage IVb prostate cancer. That is a skip and a hop away from palliative care. That will change your focus. I am familiar with 30-Day Free Trials and have taken advantage of many. They typically sign you up for a subscription and will deduct the bill 30 days later and monthly thereafter if you do not cancel. But that was not the case here. No fine print, no boxes authorizing anything, no signatures, and no contracts. Not that Fubo doesn’t have one. They will conveniently email you a contract(?) after the fact stating that you did not participate in a 30-Day Free Trial but subscribed and were simply given a free month as a courtesy for subscribing. They refunded the last month’s bill after telling me they couldn’t give refunds. So they gave me $75.50 back and kept $675.50. I never used their service according to their own records. Why would I? I was not aware that Fubo subscribed me. By the time I got things set up the US Men’s Olympic Hockey team was getting their butt kicked half way into the third period by the Russians who advanced to the Gold Medal game. Expensive half of a hockey period. Fubo will smoke you with all kinds of excuses on a phony “contract” that has no wording involving 30-Day Free Trials. Multiple websites covering Fubo’s fraudulent business practices. Google Fubo scams. There are many. Hundreds. Stay away from Fubo. They are not AppleTV+, Amazon Prime, ESPN, YouTubeTV, Paramount+, Hulu, Tubi, Disney+, or like any of the other dozens of ethical streaming companies. Don’t believe their fake responses. Oh, we are sorry you missed the fine print (baloney). Oh, we are sorry you misunderstood (more baloney). Oh, we are sorry English is not your first language. Oh, we are sorry you don’t know how to read. Fubo is a SCAM. Avoid Fubo at all costs. And there will be many.
