I was offered a driver position at $62 per hour because they said they urgently needed someone. However, petrol costs were at my own expense. The job required carrying heavy boxes, yet no safety equipment or proper training was provided.
In the warehouse, forklifts were operating around workers with no visible safety signs, clear procedures, or guidance. From my perspective, the environment felt very unsafe and disorganized.
After a week of work, I was sent an invoice payment that was about $600 less than the hours I had worked. When I questioned it, I was told the pay had only been an “estimate,” which had never been made clear beforehand.
Overall, this was a very disappointing and frustrating experience. I would strongly recommend clarifying all terms in writing before agreeing to work with this company.
