Very disappointing experience with Gadcet.
What should have been a straightforward warranty claim turned into a long and frustrating process. After returning a faulty item, I had to repeatedly chase for updates, with multiple occasions where I was told I would receive a call back — which never happened.
Eventually, I was informed that the item had been inspected and confirmed as faulty, and that a replacement would be issued. I clearly requested a refund instead, as per the company’s own published warranty policy, which states that a refund or replacement can be provided depending on the customer’s request.
Initially, this was not acknowledged, and I had to push and point out their own policy before this was accepted. Only after doing so was the refund approved.
Shortly after this, I noticed that the wording on their website appeared to be updated, which was concerning given the timing and the fact that my request relied on the policy as it was originally presented. Thankfully I documented everything.
Even after approval, the process has remained unclear and slow, with delays and lack of communication between Gadcet and their finance provider, leaving me without both the item and the refund for an extended period.
Overall, the lack of communication, failure to follow their own policy without being challenged, and the amount of effort required to resolve a simple warranty claim has been very disappointing.
I would recommend others proceed with caution.
