I have been an active user of the platform since 2020, and initially, it felt like a magical experience. I connected with many friends and easily accessed various fan games, making it feel like a true game-sharing community. However, things took a turn for the worse over time. In 2021, the platform introduced quests and firesides, which felt like unnecessary additions. The monetization tactics became aggressive, and in 2022, they unexpectedly removed NSFW content without warning to developers, taking down their games overnight. They introduced a new premium currency, claiming it would support a charity, but I find this move to be morally questionable, using it as a pretext for microtransactions. The Creator program, while seemingly beneficial, offers such low compensation that creators themselves have mocked it. New users are bombarded with creator content, sidelining other offerings. Moreover, the platform seems lenient towards creators who break rules, allowing art theft to go unchecked. The introduction of the app was disappointing as it lacks basic functionalities like downloading games or music. In 2023, the removal of the Fireside feature marked a decline, leading to a significant drop in user activity. Now, in 2025, the platform has silenced criticism, introduced pay-to-win features, and has drastically reduced moderation. Users, including myself, have faced bans for expressing valid criticism, while problematic individuals remain unchecked. The enforcement of age guidelines is nearly nonexistent. What was once a beloved game-sharing site has devolved into a space filled with negativity and troubling behavior. This is my honest review after five years of usage.
