This company is no doubt excellent for computer professionals. Their system offers granular control of the website and detailed access to lots of different systems and procedures that make life easier for the IT professional.
However, if you're just some average Joe off the street who wants to put up a website, forget it! You need at least a BA in Computer Science, maybe an MA, to operate a system with this much detail. The so-called "help" pages are no help to someone like me who doesn't know a DNS from sFTP. You will be totally lost. You will spend hours with ChatGPT and still not be able to do simple things, like make it so the www version of the web address comes up as well as https version (in my case, the www version returns "Error 404 Vhost unknown" and even ChatGPT can't figure out how to fix it.)
The help desk is sometimes very helpful (one time I asked how to do something and they just went ahead and did it for me -- thank you!) but other times they explain the philosophy of how to do something when what I want are simple instructions: 1) go here 2) click this 3) input that. I want to run my company not learn to be an IT professional.
Gandi is clearly aimed at professionals, which is fine, every company has its own niche, but they should be clear about that before you sign up. I now have dozens of domains registered here and I can't manage simple things with them.

Gandi is a domain name registrar, a web host, and an email and SSL certificate provider whose guiding ambition is to make the internet accessible to all. But above all, Gandi is a French success story built on customer trust and word-of-mouth recommendations. It all began with only a few pioneers of the free internet, and 20 years later, it became a small but mighty international business with 150 employees spread over three continents; with values that remain unchanged and make Gandi unique and independent on the market.
See more
