We travelled quite a way to Garsons in Esher, to have lunch and to Xmas shop. The Christmas decoration set-up was extensive and Expensive! However the ridiculously long queue to place a simple lunch order was painfully slow (20 mins plus) as only one person was coping with all the hot food orders, yet there were many waiting staff delivering cakes and coffees from the other till point. The disappointment was the poor quality of the food and the high cost of it. Dry American pancakes, inedible congealed bacon smothered in cheap maple flavoured syrup. More 'fair ground fast food' than restaurant quality. I asked for a refund which I then had to re-queue for at the same till point. To be fair the staff were helpful but swamped. My partners meal was equally disappointing but we decided not to waste anymore time on it.
