GABEST Transport was booked through our logistics broker. We require all loads to be tarped. Driver showed up on time. We loaded him and then he was asked to pull up to the top of our property to finish strapping and tarping. He instead pulled off property and parked on the side of the road. I sent someone out to tell him to come back in and tarp (he had not done this yet) and as soon as he was told that he left with our material without paperwork or BOL's. Told our broker that either he comes back or we report the load as stolen since he has no paperwork. It took him 45 minutes to get back here. My guess was he was headed to the consignee with no paperwork or tarping. Don't think he would have came back if he hadn't been called. When I asked him directly why he did that he had no answer. I have instructed our broker to no longer use their services.
