Where to start? At the beginning? I first experienced Gechnology when I saw them installing some extra solar panels and a battery at a neighbour’s house. I was immediately impressed with the friendly and seemingly efficient way they went about the job. When they were nearing the end of the installation, I asked Armando if they would be prepared to help similarly. He said they wouldn’t be able to do anything for a few weeks, but promised to visit us to discuss needs and possible solutions after a holiday that he had booked.Armando visited, explained the possibilities, and answered questions fully but without techie jargon. He duly came up with a detailed plan of work and equipment in a few days, and after a few weeks Luke and Armando returned to carry out the work. I cannot over-emphasize how impressed we have been throughout the process. They are well-organized, straightforward, friendly, and really efficient in all that they do. Any questions I had were answered promptly and completely. They installed for us four new solar PV panels to complement our existing ones and connected all the panels to two new Tesla Powerwall batteries. The result is truly stunning. Even when the weather is cold and cloudy, we can now run our house, including an air source heat pump, from the batteries alone. The batteries are charged by the sun when there is some. Any shortfall from the sun is made good by charging from the mains at a very cheap price overnight. The system is fully automated, needing no input from us at all. There is also a clever and useful app for the mobile phone that enables us to monitor the battery state, and generally see what’s going on.We enjoyed a huge benefit from our new system recently when there was a power cut in our area. While our neighbours were without electricity for a few hours, we carried on as normal, since the batteries supplied all the power we needed.We would like to say a huge and sincere “Thank you” to Luke and Armando of Gechnology for all they have done for us.
