I bought Gelert "Waterproof" walking boots from Sports Direct. They've been adequate for walking, but are not in any way waterproof... Despite having that printed on them 3 times! They've always let water in since day one. I've done around 200 miles in them now and have just had to avoid going out on wet days or spraying them with ridiculous amounts of after market waterpoofing spray. Disappointed... But at least they were cheap (around £26), and lasted me about 18 months.Recently they have started to crack and fray down the fabric on the sides, so I have just replaced with goretex Salomons.
