I ordered a gift of two tweed hip flask for my nephews upcoming wedding in America one month in advance of the big day. Paid for delivery which was advertised at 2-3 days. The plan was that my relatives would bring it out with them when they travelled over for the wedding. After two weeks and no sign of the delivery I made many, many attempts at contacting the shop. Nobody answers the phone. No response to emails.Finally after almost 3 weeks I eventually made contact on Facebook messenger. Aidan was very polite and promised to sort it out immediately. At that point I requested that if it hadn't already been dispatched to me that I'd like to have it delivered directly to the recipient instead as my relatives had already left Ireland to go to the wedding. I offered to pay the difference in postage costs at that stage.Four days later and there was still no response so I contacted them again. Aidan informed me that the items were not in stock when I'd placed the order and he had now purchased them from a competitor at a higher price to fulfil my order. I don't understand how you can offer an item for sale with 3 day delivery when you don't have it in stock. I also consider it highly unprofessional to tell your customer how you had to buy it from your competitors at a higher price. He informed me that to post the two hip flasks to America would now cost me 40 euro but he was willing to pay 10 euro of that if I paid an additional 25 euro postage. This was 24 days after I'd initially placed the order. I declined and requested a refund which was processed immediately. No apology was ever issued but he did offer a discount if I bought anything from them again. I declined that offer as I simply wouldn't trust this company again. In the end I had to order a replacement gift for my nephew only days before his wedding from a more reliable company who fulfilled the order immediately. I certainly won't be ordering from here again. Overall very unprofessional and unreliable.
