You have to watch Giftya. They do not tell you whether your gift has been been sent or opened, and you have no way of knowing unless you ask the recipient. In my case, I bought a $100 target certificate to be sent to my daughter’s email. It was not received. luckily I called to check. I presume it was not sent. I did go through the resend procedure on the website, and it was immediately received. This strongly suggests me that it was not sent in the first instance. What a great way for the company to make money. If neither of us hafollowed up, it appears the money would just have stayed with giftya.
