I underwent a surgical procedure with Dr. Cem Berkay in January, and I am very satisfied with the medical care, professionalism, and final result. The doctor’s work was excellent, and my feedback does not concern the surgeon or the medical outcome.Unfortunately, my experience with Globalmedik, and specifically with CEO of the company , Tetiana Velikarodna, raised concerns regarding transparency, confidentiality, and patient support.One important issue involved post-operative pain management.For the first day and a half after surgery, I had no significant pain, and pain control appeared appropriate. However, during one night, I experienced sudden and severe pain, which prevented me from sleeping. This raised concern that two scheduled painkiller administrations may not have been properly delivered during that period.A few hours before my discharge, a painkiller was administered again, and it worked immediately, after which the pain stopped. This suggests the issue was temporary and procedural, not related to the surgery itself.I asked Globalmedik to verify with the hospital whether medication had been administered according to the doctor’s prescription. This concern was never properly investigated or confirmed. Weeks later, I was sent a prescription document in Turkish via WhatsApp, without translation or explanation.Additional concerns included: • False claims about discounts: I was told I had received a discount, which was not true. I paid the standard package price. Despite this, Tatiana later told a third party that I had received a significant discount, which never existed. • Breach of confidentiality: My alleged “discount” and financial details were discussed with another client without my consent. During consultation, personal information about other patients was also shared with me. • Pattern of pain-related complaints: I later learned of similar pain-management issues experienced by other Globalmedik clients undergoing different procedures with different doctors. • Unprofessional payment handling: Clients were encouraged to pay in cash, receipts were not proactively offered, and documentation was provided only after explicit requests.To be clear, Dr. Cem Berkay and the medical care were excellent. This review reflects Globalmedik’s coordination and business practices, not the quality of the surgery.
