I ordered an item from eBay, the seller had it collected via DHL. the courier who collected the parcel put my address label on the wrong parcel. I now have a totally different item that doesn’t belong to me or the sender. I can’t return it as it doesn’t belong to the sender and the sender can’t send me a replacement as they only had one. The sender is telling me to deal with DHL as there’s nothing they can do and DHL keep telling me to deal with the sender. I’m now £62 down and have an item that isn’t mine and can’t seem to find a way to fix this issue. The sender phoned DHL with a description of the parcel, I was told yesterday it had been escalated and my parcel was being looked for in the warehouse and id get a call back within three hours. No one called. Today I got told I never phoned yesterday, then I got told I failed the security check yesterday??? Then I got accused of lying about who I am? After they accepted I wasn’t lying they kept putting me on hold and then just terminated the call. I phoned back and was told even though the sender gave a description of the parcel so it could be searched for, they did it via customer services and not the business account line so even though the description is on the system until they phone via the business line no one will look for it??? I was then put on hold again and the call was terminated after 38 minutes. I’ve called 6 times now to sort this out and I’m just going round in circles. I don’t know what to do anymore.
