Having bought a second hand premium car, complete with AA 128 point vehicle inspection and ongoing 3 month warranty, I have been dissappointed when issues started to arise .. No check was made of the service history of the car, surely an important starting point. Despite assurances from the sales agent, I subsequently found the online service history to be incomplete with the 32k service missing and 18 months overdue, I bought at 60k. On immediately servicing the car with Halfords, I was presented with a brake pads and discs amber warning all round. The service and brakes have now cost me circa £900. Air conditioning does not cool, so sent in for a recharge (not a warranty item) but find the compressor leaks (surely a warranty item) and requires the front of the car dismantling to access, so a bill yet to come! The garage dismissed my query re the service history despite paperwork saying it was complete and I have tried numerous times to get through to the AA agents but without success, the warranty company are only interested in failures? I have been approached to renew/extend the rolling warranty but I question whether there is any point, seems there is always a reason to reject claims?
