If I could give 0 stars, I absolutely would. My experience with GLS has been beyond unacceptable. I missed my parcel delivery because I was at work — which is completely normal — yet there was no delivery card left, no clear contact details, and no information about where my parcel was being held or how I could collect it.When I contacted customer service, I was clearly told that my parcel would be delivered to a local shop near my home for collection and that I would receive a notification once it arrived. I relied on this information and waited. Five days later, instead of a collection message, I received an email saying the parcel was out for delivery again to my home address. After calling again, I was then told the parcel was being returned to the sender. Just that it was being sent back. When I explained that their colleague had previously told me it would be sent to a local store, they asked me for the name of the employee I had spoken to — something I obviously had not written down at the time. I then asked if they could check the logs of my previous call, including the specific date and time, and was told there were no logs of phone calls. How a delivery company claims to have no record of customer service calls is beyond concerning. To make matters worse, when I asked to speak to a supervisor or manager, I was told there wasn’t one available and that there was nobody above customer service I could speak to. I was then informed there was nothing they could do because they no longer had the parcel and that I would need to contact the sender myself. The call ended with the representative saying, “have a good day, goodbye,” and hanging up — despite the issue being completely unresolved. The level of incompetence, lack of accountability, and poor communication is shocking. I was given incorrect information, left without updates, denied escalation, and ultimately forced to chase the sender because GLS failed to manage a basic delivery properly. This has been one of the worst delivery experiences I have ever had. I would strongly advise others to avoid GLS if possible!
