Goated operates like a platform constantly testing ideas without fully considering the impact on the people backing it. After repeated attempts to resolve issues privately through the proper channels, nothing changed; which is why I’m writing this.

I joined Goated in September 2024 and was genuinely impressed. The UI, theme, original games, and management gave the impression of a serious contender in the crypto space. I believed in it enough to build an affiliate operation centered primarily around Goated. I invested tens of thousands of dollars of my own money; developing a website, building a Telegram group, incentivizing players, and supporting chat morale. All to drive traffic and growth to the platform.

Management initially supported this effort with a wager-based leaderboard. I built my infrastructure around that system. A few months later, they reversed course and removed it. I absorbed that loss and continued supporting the platform.

Then came the Airdrop. I wagered millions and lost tens of thousands accumulating points. Those points were earned fairly. Later, Goated allowed players to “wager their airdrop points.” I managed mine responsibly. After many players lost theirs and complained, Goated introduced a lottery structure that heavily advantaged those same players; effectively diluting the system before it even began. Shortly after, the Goated Token price dropped significantly.

Public criticism of these decisions often results in muting or bans. At that point, I chose to self-exclude. I no longer want to support a platform that frequently changes direction without regard for the partners who invest real capital and credibility into it.

This brings me to their Terms of Service, which clearly states:

“4.10. If your Goated Account has been closed, locked, blocked or excluded and you wish to recover funds held in it, please contact Goated via in-platform chat support.”

After self-excluding, I contacted support to recover the funds in my account; specifically the affiliate commission earned from referred players. Goated refused to release it. Previously, one of the founders allowed me to claim commission under similar circumstances when I was actively promoting the platform. That standard appears to have changed, further showcasing their repeated wishy-washy ways.

No other platform I’ve worked with withholds legitimately earned affiliate commission due to self-exclusion. Basically they only want you claiming commission while your account is opened to gamble it back. The inconsistency in policy, combined with reactive decision-making and poor communication, has significantly eroded trust.

I had high hopes for Goated. I believe the intentions may be good, but the execution, instability, and lack of strategic consistency make it difficult to see long-term credibility in the crypto gambling space.
