I received an incentive certificate for a free cruise from a company after attending a timeshare presentation. I must say, this is the worst experience I've ever had, and it feels almost like a scam. The company can issue an unlimited number of these certificates for an annual fee, which makes them essentially worthless, as reflected in their poor BBB rating. Upon receiving the certificate, I discovered it required a $198 non-refundable deposit and provided two date options that were 30 days apart. After attempting to book twice, I was informed that those dates were unavailable. Additionally, there were extra costs for port fees and taxes. I reached out every couple of weeks to check availability, specifically requesting a preferred cruise line, but even other options were often unavailable. After months of frustration, I finally voiced my concerns about the legitimacy of the offer and threatened to report them. Coincidentally, a cruise suddenly became available. We accepted it, but by the end, we ended up paying around $600 for the lowest-tier cabin. A friend who booked separately paid significantly less for their cruise. It's no surprise that this company has so many negative reviews. We just received another certificate, but we are discarding it because it's completely worthless. This company should be ashamed of its practices.
