GoodLeap has been harassing me daily via mail, phone calls, and even sending people to my door after the loan taken out by my deceased mother has been more than paid in full. I’m the executor of her estate and let GoodLeap know it would take up to two months for me to access the estate funds and pay them in full. In the meantime they have been charging $6.75/ day interest plus other hidden fees on what was originally a $19,000 loan that my mother made 27 payments on before her death. Her balance was $12k yet due to the interest and fees they demanded $22,000. I contacted the BBB because this is absurd loan shark type deviousness. That was a waste of time. If I didn’t pay the $22,000, by December 2025, they were going to demand $24,000 in January 2026.Just to be done with these total scammers, I paid the outrageous $22,000 because they were trying to put a lien on the house that my mother left to me and is in the process of getting the mortgage assumption into my name. I didn’t want any obstacles so my hand was forced to pay off an absurd debt. Today, Saturday, December 13, 2025, a GoidLeap employee showed up to my door AGAIN with a letter from GoodLeap claiming that my deceased mother is delinquent on her bill. That is a lie. They have been paid in full since December 1st 2025. I called GoodLeap the day I sent the payment and attempted to give them the tracking information but they refused to take it. I requested for them to cease contact now that they have been paid, the check has been deposited by them.They continue to harass me daily. It is causing emotional distress at this point. I don’t know how many times I can put them on notice via phone, mail & email yet they still harass me. Do not do business with this company. They are loan sharks. They have no interest in working with you. They just want to fleece people for as much money as possible. They’re not BBB accredited for good reason. They’re involved in several lawsuits and I hope each person who has been abused by this criminal organization at least reports their illegal actions to the FTC and their state attorney general as I have been forced to do.
