During the process of remortgaging our property we dealt with three different case handlers which wasn’t ideal. Initially everything went very well but when the case handler changed the first time everything started to stall and we were left to follow several matters up ourselves. In particular there was a matter that involved the council which, after an initial email to them, was just left and never followed up until I personally got involved. Towards the end of the process we were ignored, with non of our emails or telephone messages being replied to. It turned out our case handler went on leave and no one informed us of this until after we lodged a complaint. At this point we were struggling to get a completion date. I had to personally intervene again by contacting the lender to get this done. At this point a new handler took on our case, Hamda Elmi. From that point onwards everything was handled extremely professionally and efficiently and we can’t thank Hamda enough for her help and intervention in arranging a completion date. Hamda gave us 5 star service, the initial service was also very good, however once the second handler took over everything stalled and the service was unacceptable which is why we gave a rating of 1 star.
