I purchased a Nissan Juke and added a Extra Years Warranty as the Sales person explained it was a good investment as the Car was only 2.5years old when purchased, After being very happy with the car i pre arranged to have tyres replaced all round and Griffin Mill said they could price match as i had always dealt with them i booked for tyre replacement, However on due date I had only just arrived at garage when I noticed Lack of Power, So I asked reception if someone could look at Car, I was abruptly told by a very rude person that it could not be seen that day , Which I understood, I duly arranged with the reception to hire a car,As I only live approximately 8 min from garage , I was shocked when I arrived home and the telephone rang and was told it as the gearbox and because a Rubber pipe had perished it was not covered by Nissan Warranty, After learning the Cost quoted as £5000/£8000 pounds and the fact I was told the Car Value was only worth £6000, It was a pointless repair. I said I disputed the Terms Griffin Mill had refused to validate the repair under warranty and contacted Nissan UK Direct, I was informed by them that the Warranty was indeed valid, But they would fully investigate my claim.Then a person contacted me from Griffin Mill who said they were going to investigate Claim. Now comes the shock after several days and many e-mails I found out that the Car had never had a diagnostic test and that the person who wrote to reject the claim had changed the Pipe in Question from Perished to Corrosion, And even though Nissan carry a 12year anti corrosion guarantee Warranty , It all means Nothing as the Dealership refuse as they are only a Franchised Nissan Dealer. Waiting Now for Further Outcome as also found out that the car was never Looked at by any Technician as i was originally told/.
