I was extremely fortunate to have Mr. Luke Jones assess and manage my knee fracture (Partial avulsion fracture of tibial tuberosity) which occurred as a result of a fall. I am an Australian medical specialist who was visiting family in London at the time. Luke took a thorough history with compassion and a sense of humor, and performed a careful clinical examination. He diagnosed the painful knee fracture which had been overlooked on other doctors’ earlier assessments. He also helped me evaluate the pros and cons of conservative versus surgical management, advising non-surgical treatment with a brace, with careful subsequent follow up. He referred me to another surgeon for surgical management of my fractured humerus. The outcomes for both knee and arm have been excellent, with both back to full strength six months later. Luke Jones is that rare combination of a surgeon who takes a thorough history from the patient, who has excellent diagnostic and communication skills, in addition to his adherence to a high standard of evidence based medicine.I highly recommend him.
