I booked my daughters hen weekend to York through Gohen after reading on their website that they were committed to making the planning process 'easier' for the organiser. During the initial stages when we were deciding on a destination and booking activities, I found the company to be helpful and accepted some delayed responses due to their explanation that staff were working on a 'flexi furlough' basis because of Covid. However once the event was booked, I found myself waiting for days/weeks to get a reply to any questions I wanted answering around refunds, adding extra people to our party or requesting the events itinerary. I sent email after email and also rang (alot) in an attempt to get some answers. I was constantly told that someone would 'get back to me' about my questions however I would find myself chasing up a response again days later, feeling very frustrated. When planning an event like this, you generally want to make sure everything is in place, organised and runs smoothly however when I still hadn't received the itinerary 4 days before we were due to travel to York, I was very stressed as I had not been able to plan taxi's, drinks or meals due to not knowing when or where we were doing the various activities.When I finally received the itinerary (after numerous phone calls to the company) it become apparent that one of the activities was out of the city (half an hours drive away). Nobody had told me this prior so nothing had been arranged in terms of transfers to and from the event. I had to source a local taxi firm myself and ask the Hen party to pay more money (it cost an £60 in taxi fares).When we actually arrived in York, our
