Delaying tactics over refund

Lovely set of boots delivered on time - noticed a broken eyelet within 20 mins of wearing the boots. Boots returned next day for replacement or refund. Still waiting for my refund as they "need to speak to the manufacturer" (not my problem) before issuing the refund. Incorrectly quoted consumer rights act to me saying they had 30 days (not 14) to refund me. Avoid.
