I hired them to remove an embarrassing article detailing a misdemeanor arrest from 10+ years ago. Unfortunately for me I have an unusual name, and that article sat on the front page of my Google search results like a scarlet letter for over a decade. Idk exactly what the fine folks at Guaranteed Removals did, but when I Google my name now it's gone. No trace, totally nuked from orbit. I went into this super skeptical because so many people say it's a scam/impossible, but I am so glad I took a chance on GR! It's not cheap but for me it's worth every penny.Also, I have to push back against the reviews calling them a scam. They're very upfront about not being able to guarantee success. The "guarantee" is that you don't pay unless/until they get the content removed. Everything is spelled out very clearly in the terms of the contract they have you sign. My account manager Emily sent me update emails every two weeks (they were all copy/paste "still working on it" emails but still nice to hear something rather than nothing). You have to be patient. In my case it took 68 days from when they initiated their efforts to when they emailed me saying the article was removed. 100% scam. Hired them to have an article removed. I kept asking for updates. Two months later they said they still hadn’t even made contact with the publisher. Asked to speak to the attorney or a manager to discuss the strategy and provide more information about the case. As soon as I did, Coleman got noticeably worried and said they had exhausted all of their options and couldn’t help.
I used this company and was charged astronomical fees for something I didn’t know I could do myself. What they didn’t tell me was that when they remove things other things get pushed up. I am on a payment plan with them for the removals. A court case is at the top of the search Engine that contains personal information about my assault. I called to see if they could at least generate positive information as to bury it while I get it sealed. Well they said a quote of $7500.00 and when I gawked at the price they guy tried to downplay my concerns by saying “well you were already in contract with us. It’s only $7500.00 don’t look at it like it’s $2500.00 a month.” They are horrible. And I do not recommend. It’s predatory they charge $1000.00 per link removal and $500.00 for a “de-index.” They are out of Canada. I do feel scammed and when I’m done paying I will be reporting them here in the United States. The billing person Debbie is a very nice person. But I feel taken advantage of. My contract was hefty. I shouldn’t have used them. They should’ve included reputation optimization in the removal price. That would’ve gotten my address and things removed along with build my reputation to push my court case down. They should be ashamed of themselves for taking advantage of people.
